We are yet to come to terms with your sudden departure. It came when we least expected it and it hit us like thunder bolt. We may not know now, why we are so touched by your death. You were a mentor to all. But we are convinced that, events will unfold and we will understand practically. You taught the nation so many virtues. Your speeches were always punctuated; God, Peace and tolerance. When you were alive we failed to understand this because of our entrenched positions. Your death has softened the hearts of many and we have seen the need to embrace peace. As we mourn with our mother, Dr Mrs Naadu Mills, all we ask from the Lord is to grant you a place closer Christ Jesus. Seeing H.E John Dramani visibly weeping during his swearing in ceremony was an indication that you left a big vacuum in the nation and that you took us by surprise. Before you died you said you wanted to preside over peaceful and transparent elections but you did not live to see your dream realised. The honour we can therefore give you is to conduct peaceful elections in December. Peace! Peace! Peace! RIPP. Amen.
