Prof Mills has left his mark.

He sacrificed himself for our country.

He was selfless, humble, dedicated to duty, honest, a man of integrity and principle who led by example. He was a man of peace and committed to the rule of law. He was God-fearing, and not ashamed to proclaim his faith publicly. His presidency was underpinned by his Christian faith.

President Mills has set a high standard for all his successors. His administration has achieved much in 3 and half years, and Ghana is a better country for it.

Let us learn from his tolerance in the face of severe provocation and personal attacks. Let us learn to put the interest of the nation above personal interest, and be wise to stand united in working for the development of our land. 

Professor Mills will always be remembered by his people. May he rest in perfect peace!
