TRIBUTE TO THE LATE PRESIDENT: HIS EXCELLENCY PROFESSOR JOHN EVANS ATTAH MILLS BY: The youngest Ghanaian to become an academic professor: Prof. D. K. Mensah of KNUST campus, Ghana. Your Excellency, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, in time of war, in time of peace and at fun galore, you led Ghana with unfathomable wisdom. If it were not so, bombs of the Gbagbo crisis would have devastated our young oil fields. One era changes giving way to the new, but Professor: prudence engraves your name on gold! In accordance with article 57 clause 6 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, your seat has been given to your Vice-President to ensure continuation of your good works. Bravo! The Jumbo Judicial Jockey! Apraku Pataku Patasi! The Lilly of Tarkwa! The Oak of Otuam! The Diamond of Achimota! The Gold of Legon! The Fulbright Genius and the Pure Scholar of London! De mirifa due! We cherish you but the love of God excels. Presidents die in office but yours is a more terrible blow to success! People of the world, our President is gone just like William Harrison, Zachary Taylor, Abraham Lincoln, William Tubman, Anwar Sadat, Samora Michel, Jomo Kenyata, Gnassingbe Eyadema and Yar Adua! Drama is different from comma but Prof. Mills; your death gives us life! Thus in accordance with Act 651 Section 10 (b) of the 2003 Labour Law, Act 737 of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission and Articles 24 and 190 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana; all of us in this country must endeavor to work peacefully and productively without industrial actions sparked by the Single Spine Salary Policy during the five year set out period: because work is life. Former President Professor Mills, you stood for equity, fairness and transparency which are excellent qualities. We will keep these in our memories. Fiifi, fare thee well! Fare thee well!! Fare thee well!!! Rest in magnificent peace.
