NORDU holds interdenominational service of late President Mills The chiefs and people of the Tanyigbe traditional area and 11 communities of the Norvisi Development Union, NORDU including Atikpui, Ave, Nyive and Klave held a short but solemn interdenominational service in memory of President John Evans Atta Mills at Tanyigbe-Anyigbe in the Ho Municipality. This was after they held a procession through the streets amidst the singing of dirges and mournful hymns and beating of asafo drums. They carried placards some of which read “Nutifafafia dzudzor le nutifafa me” “king of kings may the good lord give you perfect peace and rest”. Among the mourners were a former Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, Major General Henry Anyidoho, the Municipal Chief Executive, Isaac Kodobisah, the National Democracy Congress. NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Benjamin Kpodo and constituency executives of the political parties. In a sermon, the local E.P Parish Priest, Rev.Richard Amani, urged Ghanaians to emulate the love and peaceful attitude exhibited by the late President since these are the basic principles of the doctrine of God. In a speech read on his behalf, the Paramount Chief of Tanyigbe traditional area, Togbe Kwasi Adiko described the late President as a Father of all. GBC
