New Edubiase Beat Ashgold To Lift Late President Mills Memorial Cup The final match of the MTN FA Cup was honoured yesterday afternoon between Ashantigold and New Edubiase at the Accra Sports Stadium. The match was in honour of late President John Evans Atta Mills. Both teams created numerous chances in the first half but failed to find the back of the net leaving the game barren at the end of the first half. Ibrahim Moro scored the opener on the 5th minute of the second half to put New Edubiase in the lead. Ashantigold came close to scoring when Alex Asamoah struck a thunder bolt which bounced off the woodwork in the 24th minute of the second half. Ashantigold finished the game with ten men after Eric Opoku was red carded in the 15th minute of the second half. The match ended 1-0 in favour of New Edubiase as they were crowned winners of the MTN FA Cup for the first time. New Edubiase will represent Ghana in next year's CAF Confederation Cup Competition. GBC
