Children under two years experience malnutrition in Upper West Region

A nutrition surveillance conducted in the Upper West Region indicates that acute malnutrition is worse in children under two years.

This is attributed to inappropriate complementary feeding being practiced by some mothers.

The Acting Regional Director of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Kofi Issa, stated this during the half year review of the directorate in Wa.
