EC confirms over 4000 multiple entries in biometric voter register

The Electoral Commission has detected over four thousand deliberate entries in the biometric voter register.  

The Acting Public Affairs Director of the Commission, Christian Owusu Parry, who disclosed this to GBC’s Radio Ghana, said the Commission will in due course publish the names of those involved. 

He said those who feel aggrieved can appeal through the courts.  

He spoke on Radio Ghana's Current Affairs Programme, ‘Behind The News’.

Meanwhile, the National Coordinator of Coalition of Domestic Election Observers, CODEO, John Larvie, says the step taken by the EC is in the right direction.  

He said those found culpable should be made to face the full rigours of the law.
