Dr. Akwetey, Ken Dzirasah endorse public vetting of Vice President nominee

The Executive Director of the Institute for Democratic Governance, Dr. Emmanuel Akwetey has endorsed the public vetting of the Vice President nominee Paa Kwasi Amissah - Arthur.

He said the procedure creates a platform to bring leadership to the people.
 
Dr. Akwetey who was sharing his thoughts on GBC's Unique Breakfast Drive said exposing the qualities of the Vice President to the public will not dent his image as being suggested by a cross-section of the public.

In a related development, a former first Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Ken Dzirasah, also says the Vice President's nominee, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur, should go through the vetting process of Parliament.  

He said though the vetting of a Vice President is not captured in the Constitution, it is an opportunity for the reviewers of the law to consider it.
