The Anglican Bishop of Ho & Presiding Bishop of JADC Ghana TRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY OF PRESIDENT J. E. ATTA- MILLS BY THE RT. REVD MATTHIAS K. MEDADUES-BADOHU (PRESIDING BISHOP OF THE JOINT ANGLICAN DIOCESAN COUNCIL, GHANA) The news of our beloved President shocked and saddened us as a Communion to the extent of weeping uncontrollably for a President who kept every Civil Servant on his or her toe. This was a man who did not hide his religious upbringing but rather used it in his public office as the President of Ghana to direct and control all his affairs. In his dealings with people many would regard as corrupt in society, he used those Christian principles in a very mature and gentle manner as a loving father would do with his recalcitrant children. He was a man of no revenge but relying on God's wisdom to deal with every situation that confronted him. In doing this some saw him a 'weakly'. Ghana has indeed lost a Father, and a President whose qualities cannot be replaced. Now that he is no more we will begin to count the loss of wisdom and patience which Ghana needs for the growth of her democracy. The Anglican Church in Ghana mourns his death, but we are assured that he has re-united with his Maker. His family will forever be in our prayers, especially the First Lady who has suffered with him all along. May his soul rest in peace. X Matthias Ho Presiding Bishop of the Anglican Church in Ghana & The Bishop of Ho "I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again." William Penn
