Parliament passes Colleges of Education Bill 

The Colleges of Education Bill has been passed by Parliament after being read the third time.

This followed a motion moved by Deputy Minister of Education, Mahama Ayarigah and seconded by Joseph Yieleh Chireh, Member for Wa West. 

The Bill seeks to upgrade Teacher Training Colleges into Tertiary Institutions. 

In another development, the House has approved a Financial Agreement between Ghana and the International Development Association for an amount of 25 point 9 million dollars. 

It is to finance the First Phase of the Inter-zonal Transmission Hub project of the West Africa power pool programmes.
