GBC 24

The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation has been operating its traditional TV Channel, Ghana Television, GTV, since the inception of the television broadcasting in 1965. But in line with the digital migration and availability of additional channels, a 24 hour news cast in the mode of interantional channels like BBC, ALJAZEERA, CNN, Deutche-welle etc. is been established.

Multi-skilled professionals and a core staff of seventeen people made up of reporters, video editors, cinematographers, graphics designers and directors were given the requisite training to start it on the 1st April, 2011.

GBC 24 perspective of reportage is hard, innovative, very engaging and reflect the country and have no room for protocol or conventional news reporting. Currently the first 24 hour news channel in Ghana, it aims to deliver credible, authentic and engaging news in an exciting and a timely fashion.
