Newly qualified Optometrists inducted 

The Head of Optometry Department of the University of Cape Coast, Dr. Alfred Owusu, has called for the enactment of the appropriate legislation to back the practice of Optometry in the country. 

He made the call at the induction ceremony of newly qualified optometrist at Cape Coast, in the Central Region. 

There are two optometry schools at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the University of Cape Coast. 

This is the first time the University of Cape Coast is hosting the annual induction ceremony of doctors of optometry into the association. 

Two badges of graduates from the two universities were inducted. 

A high court judge and the paramount chief of Dormaa Ahenkro, Osiadeyo Agyeman Badu inducted the new optometrists.
