Mahatma strikes to lift Hearts out of relegation
Relegation threatened, Accra Hearts of Oak held league leaders Medeama SC to a 1-1 drawn game at the Tarkwa TNA Park in the week 17 of the ongoing Glo Premier league.

Striker Joseph Gordon put Medeama in front in the 29th minute while a 63rd minute strike from skipper Mahatma Otoo restored parity for the Phobians.

In the other matches, Wa All Stars beat Ashanti Gold by a lone goal at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium for the first time in six years.

Berekum Arsenal also defeated Tema Youth by two goals to one. Ibrahim Dauda and Douglas Nkrumah scored for Arsenal.

Bottom placed Real Tamale United suffered another defeat at the hands of Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindolf Park in Dansoman.

Elsewhere, Hearts of Lions had a slim 1-0 win over Ebusua Dwarfs while Amidaus Professionals also lost yesterday at home to former champions Berekum Chelsea by 1-0 one nil.
