The Leader of the United Renaissance Party, Kofi Wayo has cautioned President John Mahama not to succumb to those proposing the sale of the Tema Oil Refinery -TOR.

Mr. Wayo told Radio Ghana that TOR is a public strategic asset which must be made to work.

He said President Mahama has inherited disaster and must try to fix it with the right technocrats.

Mr. Wayo also commented on the way forward for TOR. He said as the first Refinery built in Africa, it must be made to work.

He said the agreement with the oil drilling companies where the crude oil is not refined at TOR must be reconsidered.

In a related development, Dr. Wereko-Brobbey says issues relating to management of TOR too complex to handle.

An Energy Expert and a leading member of the NPP, Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobbey says the issues relating to the management of the Tema Oil Refinery- TOR are too complex to handle.

He alleges that the Long Arm of the State is interfering in too many issues and Government must be made to know.

Speaking to Radio Ghana on whether or not to sell or privatise TOR, Dr. Wereko-Brobbey said the State has no business running the Refinery.

Dr. Wereko-Brobbey told Radio Ghana's George Ankrah that the whole business of managing the Refinery should be debated.

Meanwhile, reports from the Upper West and Northern Regions indicate that the fuel situation has normalised.

Drivers and other users are purchasing the products without hustle.
