NDP, URP go to Congress tomorrow in Kumasi

All is set for the National Delegates Congress of the National Democratic Party at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi to attend the congress.

Three people including former first Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlins have picked forms to contest the flagbearership of the NDP.

A member of the NDP's Communications team, Dr. Sunu told GBC's Radio Ghana that Mrs. Rawlings personally picked the forms at the close of work yesterday.

Meanwhile, The United Renaissance Party will hold its congress at the Cultural Centre in Kumasi tomorrow.

About 130 delegates are attending the congress.

So far only the founder, Charles Kofi Wayo has picked forms to contest for the position of flagbearer.

The National Chairman of URP Albert Otchere, told Radio Ghana that the party is determined to wrest power from the NDC come December.
