GHS initiate EMONC for pregnant women
Studies have shown that women still die through child birth.

To help address that challenge, the Ghana Health Service has initiated a new scheme dubbed 'Emergency Obstetrics and Newborn Care' (EMONC).

This was made known by the Head of the Reproductive and Child Care Unit of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Aboagye at a Bi- Annual Conference of the Family Health Division of the Ghana Health Service in Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
