Ghana and Italy have signed an agreement on enhancing Security and Co-operation in the fight against human trafficking, smuggling and illegal immigration. The agreement which is in two parts will benefit the Ghana Immigration and Police Services. The Italian Minister of Interior Roberto Maroni signed for his country whilst the outgoing Minister of the Interior Cletus Avoka initialed for Ghana. The Italian Minister of Interior Roberto Maroni said the agreement underlines the significant bilateral relations between Italy and Ghana.
